Connectivity guides tend to fail in the same way: they list the pairing steps, which you already know, and stop at the point where the pairing actually fails. Why does my laptop say wireless capability is turned off when Wi-Fi looks enabled?

That message refers to the adapter's radio state rather than the Windows toggle. A physical switch, an Fn key combination, airplane mode, or a stopped WLAN AutoConfig service will all produce it while the Settings toggle still appears available.

Does every network adapter have a different MAC address?

Yes. Wired Ethernet, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth each have their own, and virtual adapters from VPN software add more. This is why a router allowlist keyed to your Ethernet MAC does nothing when you connect over Wi-Fi.

Can I use iMessage on Windows?

No. There is no official iMessage client for Windows and no supported workaround. Phone Link supports iPhone calls, notifications and basic messaging through Bluetooth, but it does not carry iMessage conversations, group threads or attachments in any complete form.
